How do I prep for a Colonoscopy ?

Colonoscopy prep is very simple and requires instructions as given here. Different types of medications can be used. Please check with Dr Singh and his office regarding the instructions and please mention if you have any previous allergic reactions. As a rule please stay on a clear liquid diet a day before the procedure. Divide the colonoscopy prep in two equal halves as instructed. Take first dose at 6 pm evening before the procedure and second half dose 6 hours before the procedure. Dr Neeraj Singh performs colonoscopies for the screening and diagnostic reasons and please ask any questions that you may have. Colonoscopy is the best procedure to diagnose abnormalities of the large intestine and to screen for colorectal cancer and colorectal polyps. A colonoscope is a long, thin flexible instrument that provides magnified views of the colon and rectum. The procedure is frequently performed in an outpatient setting with minimal discomfort and inconvenience.
